Energy purchases for Vasakronan’s properties

We work together with our tenants to reduce energy consumption. Since 2017, all of Vasakronan’s lease agreements have been green leases, which means that both parties in the agreements commit to only purchasing energy from renewable sources.

Vasakronan purchases energy for heating, cooling and electricity for all of the shared functions at its properties, and sometimes even electricity that is used inside the premises such as for computers, lighting and other equipment you may have.

The electricity that Vasakronan purchases for all of its premises is both renewable and produced in accordance with the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation’s criteria for Good Environmental Choice-labelled electricity.

District heating and cooling are provided by different suppliers depending on the location of the property. Several of these suppliers provide heating and cooling that is labelled as “Good Environmental Choice” or is a climate-allocated product. There is currently no contract in place for the delivery of renewable/carbon-neutral district heating for our premises in Gothenburg.

Vasakronan always purchases the cleanest product available from suppliers and climate compensates annually for the emissions attributable to the property’s energy consumption.

You can find emission data or other sustainability-related metrics in the sustainability report for your premises that you can obtain from your contact person at Vasakronan.
